Who We Are

SkyBells is an acoustic folk duo from Opelika, AL composed of songwriters Daniel Lee Webster and Marie Nicole Robertson.  They began writing together in March 2019, working to capture the sounds of roots, gospel, and world music with an emphasis on uplifting lyrics and strong harmonies. With their music, SkyBells hope to rejuvenate audiences through the healing power of song.

Assisted Living Mission

SkyBells began their journey performing at assisted living communities when they went on their Lifting the Senior Spirit Tour in September 2019, sharing their healing songs throughout the state of Florida. Now, they are on a mission to spread their music across the entire nation believing that the well-being of the senior population is most important to the healing of a society.

“The Village at Gainesville felt privileged to host the SkyBells. Marie's and Daniel’s harmonious melodies coupled with their uplifting lyrics brought joy to our residents. Their choice of music was appropriate for our senior community and the time spent was ideal. SkyBells are welcome back anytime to The Village because they have made lifelong friends out of us. Thank you Marie and Daniel for your love and compassion for what you do!”

"SkyBells was prompt and on time for show arrival.  Their music selection was wonderful and being that their set list was mostly originals, the residents at Victoria Landing enjoyed the show and was able to relate to the music. (Which in this industry, relating to the music or activity is of most importance!) SkyBells was very patient, kind, and gave a warm performance. You are most welcome back to our facility anytime."

Hike Up the Valley

Album Review

"When you tell your friends you listen to 'folk music' this is what they think of. It’s quaint, plodding acoustic music. The harmonies are infectiously enjoyable. It feels like something you could hear in the mountains of the American southeast nearly 100 years ago. I bet Mother Maybelle and the Carter Family would like this one. That’s the highest praise I can think for this style of music. I adore it."
